Thorn Cottage

This listed timber frame house, which sits in the middle of a large garden in the Kent countryside, needed complete refurbishment.  We designed a new utility room and WC on the ground floor and two en-suite shower rooms and an en-suite bathroom at first floor.  The existing kitchen was redesigned, with new French doors opening onto the garden to the east and a rooflight to increase natural light,  An existing ramshackle dormer window was replaced by another rooflight in the main bathroom.  The en-suites were carefully planned to fit into tight spaces with limited headroom.

All of the work was planned and executed with great care to minimise the impact on this beautiful old house.
