Oldlands

This house was converted from the original coach house of a large country house in 32 acres of grounds that had been divided into separate dwellings in the 1950’s.

We combined the integral garage with the other ground floor rooms to create a new, very simple open living space and galley kitchen.  At first floor all the rooms were refurbished and a new en-suite shower room was added to the main bedroom.  A simple palette of materials including walnut flooring, limestone tiles and pale cream walls unite and harmonise the spaces.  Working closely with the clients to find suitable products and finishes, the project has transformed the house within a tight budget.
